What You’ll Learn:

• Firearm Safety: The essential principles of safe pistol handling, storage, and operation.
• Basic Marksmanship: Mastering grip, stance, sight alignment, sight picture, and trigger control for consistent accuracy.
• Reloading Techniques: Understanding and practicing efficient magazine changes under various conditions.
• Malfunction Drills: Learning to identify and clear common pistol malfunctions quickly and safely.
• Drawing from a Holster: Proper techniques for safely drawing and reholstering your pistol.
• Tactical Movement: Engaging targets while moving and utilizing cover effectively.
• Engagement Skills: Engaging multiple targets and improving decision-making under pressure.

Course Details:

• Duration:  6 Hour Course (11:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Location:  Pickaway County Sportsmen Inc, Circleville, Ohio or Cardinal Shooting Center, Marengo, Ohio
• Required Equipment:
  • Semi-automatic pistol or revolver
  • 2-3 magazines or speed loaders
  • Sturdy belt and holster (outside or inside the waistband)
  • Eye and ear protection
  • Minimum [300] rounds of ammunition
  • Weather-appropriate clothing and footwear

Prerequisites:

No prior experience is required, but participants must be legally allowed to possess a firearm and provide proof of eligibility if required by state or local laws.

Instructor Credentials:

Your instructor(s) bring years of real-world and professional experience in firearms training, law enforcement, military, or competitive shooting. Each lesson is delivered with an emphasis on safety, practical application, and individual development.
