Description
TANVC is designed to equip students with a basic understanding of what night vision is, the capabilities/limitations of NV, how to operate for optimal results, and how to zero your laser aiming module. Beginning with how to properly operate your NV unit, we will walk through how to mount to your helmet, retention techniques, and adjustments to make sure your NV is mounted and secured successfully for optimal usage. We then go into how to adjust diopter & focus lenses and why we need to make adjustments. Then the fun begins, we will discuss how to zero your laser aiming module, the three different zeroing methods, then we hit the range and start the zeroing process. After everyone is zero’d we will dive into the differences between active and passive aiming, running every student through drills that will get them comfortable using either technique then they will go into shooting lanes that will require them to use both techniques. After completion of this block of training we will break to feed everyone. Dinner will be catered by Cockeyed Barbeque. After dinner we hit the range using static drills designed to increase the shooters confidence and ability to acquire and engage multiple targets at varying ranges in rapid succession then we start incorporating movement into the drills culminating in a live fire head to head competition to win a prize (TBA at the Course). After completion of all training, we will take a class photo, concluding the course.
