Course Description

The Team Anvil Basic Shotgun Performance Course is an 8-hour performance-driven training program built to develop safe, capable, and confident shotgun operators from the ground up.

This course is designed for new and developing shooters who want more than static lane shooting. Students will learn how to efficiently run a defensive shotgun through structured repetitions, performance-based drills, and practical real-world application.

Throughout the day, students will build a solid foundation in shotgun setup, safety, recoil management, loading procedures, target transitions, pattern accountability, malfunction handling, movement principles, and defensive application. Instruction focuses on developing consistency, control, and confidence under realistic conditions while maintaining strict safety standards.

Students will gain a deeper understanding of how to properly employ a shotgun for lawful defensive use, home defense, and close-range problem solving while improving speed, accuracy, and overall weapon handling.
